“It’s great to be accepted into Malibu International Film Festival,” said Producer of Yeardley, Paul Papadeas, “because Yeardley is a local film shot in and around the Los Angeles area. It will give us an opportunity to expose the movie to potential industry people and to offer something back to the people of the city who helped us with this project.”
This is the first feature length film for Writer/Director Heath C. Michaels, who said, “The other filmmakers and I have poured our hearts into every second of this film’s three year production. It’s truly amazing to witness the incredible response people have for this film, a film that cost only $15,000 to make. Malibu will be a remarkable opportunity to extend its already growing fan base.”
The screening for Yeardley is set as follows:
Saturday, May 1, 2010
2:00 pm
Tracy Park Gallery
23410 Civic Center Way
Malibu, CA 90265

This will be the sixth festival for Yeardley. Yeardley left its world premiere at the Santa Fe Film Festival 2009 with a BEST PICTURE nomination along an elite listing of other films such as THE ONLY GOOD INDIAN starring Wes Studi and HANDSOME HARRY starring Steve Buscemi and Aidan Quinn.
Yeardley has won BEST ACTOR and BEST FEATURE 1st Runner Up at the 5th Annual Myrtle Beach International Film Festival and the PLATINUM REEL AWARD from the 2009 Nevada Film Festival.
One of the film’s producers, Heather Byrd, is an alumni of Pepperdine University in Malibu, CA, where she lived and studied for four years.
